This hailstone is not a meteorite. Still I would notwant either me or my car to where it fell. Heavy hailstone may smash U.S. record Giant ice chunk fell near Vivian, SD last week.

"The hailstone weighed almost 2 pounds. It was 18.5 inches in circumference and 8 inches in diameter when measured over the weekend, after considerable melting. "South Dakota hailstone might be world record by Associated Press, Pioneer Press, Twin Cities.

Gebel Kamil Impact Crater Web Page

In Gebel Kamil crater website at
http://six.pairlist.net/pipermail/meteorite-list/2010-July/067012.html , Jason wrote: “Is there any chance that a list-member might have saved some (or even all?) of the photos from the site? It appears to have been taken down.”
There is a Gebel Kamil crater web page at:http://www.mna.it/hosts/Kamil/field_act.htm
By the way, I accidentally added a quotation mark to the URL for the PDF file of the guidebook containing the paper about the Sudbury impact ejecta outcrop.
The correct URL for the field trip guidebook should be: http://mgmudrey.brinkster.net/ILSG/ILSG_54_2008_pt2_Marquette.pdf
This URL should work.
