Online Guidebooks to Canadian Fossils and Geology
Hi,
Recently, I came across a couple of field trip guidebooks
about fossils and geology of areas within Quebec and
Ontario,Canada. The first guidebook is:
Hofmann, H. J., and and M. D. Chartier, 2006, Canadian
Paleontology Conference Field Trip Guidebook No. 11
Canadian Paleontology Conference, Redpath Museum,
McGill University, Montreal (QC) October 13–16, 2006
It contains Field Trip A - "Stratigraphy of the Montreal area"
by H.J. Hofmann and Field Trip B - "Fossils of the Champlain
Sea." the Redpath Museum, and the Saint-Nicolas site by
M. D. Chartier and M.E. Cournoyer
It is at
http://www.academia.edu/2780812/Canadian_Paleontology_Conference_Field_Trip_Guidebook_No._11
and citation at http://www.gac.ca/publications/view_pub.php?id=188
The second guidebook is:
Frank R. Brunton, Elizabeth Turner and Derek Armstrong,
2009, A Guide to the Paleozoic Geology and Fossils of
Manitoulin Island and northern Bruce Peninsula, Ontario,
Canada. Canadian Paleontology Conference Field Trip
Guidebook No. 14, 76 pp., SBN 978-1-897095-45-4
It is
at:https://www.academia.edu/7132983/A_Guide_to_the_Paleozoic_Geology_and_Fossils_of_Manitoulin_Island_and_northern_Bruce_Peninsula_Ontario_Canada
I found them in Google Advanced Search using
"guidebook geology site:https://www.academia.edu/”
Also, using in Google Search: "Friends of Pleistocene guidebook
site:https://www.academia.edu/" yields some interesting results.
Finally there is “Hunting for Whales in Eastern Ontario,” Fossils
and Geology of Lanark County, Ontario, Friday, 24 April 2015,
http://fossilslanark.blogspot.com/2015/04/hunting-for-whales-in-eastern-ontario_24.html
and Fossils and Geology of Lanark County, Ontario

Yours,
Paul H.
